I’m so happy! My engagement ring finally came in yesterday. It was going to take 8 weeks to make but it came in 2 weeks early. I was worried it wasn’t going to arrive in time for the engagement party. I love it! It’s so perfect. Andrew picked it out.
I’ve been engaged for over a month now and my lovely fiance and I are so excited about being husband and wife soon. Weddings and everything to do with weddings have been on my mind for the last month. I have a pretty clear idea of what my wedding would look like, considering I’m a girl and we girls pretty much plan our weddings from a very young age, of course with maturity our views on marriage and weddings change.
I always wanted a long engagement so we could bask in the happiness of a newly engaged couple for a while. However I have discovered that me and Andrew are both very impatient people and can’t wait. Life is too short anyway. What’s the point of wasting time when you know you’ve found the person you want to spend the rest of your life with? So we decided on a spring wedding for 2011. I always wanted to be either an autumn or spring bride. I just love the weather and the colours in those two seasons. Summer is way to hot to get married in here in Sydney.
My lovely fiance has given my free reign in the wedding planning! I squealed with delight when he told me this (in the inside). So we’ve been scouting out for locations, that’s the most important thing to pick and thankfully we found a place that is within our very modest budget and has so much flexibility for the small wedding we are planning. So here it is, I will be walking down this lovely aisle on the 18th September 2011, of course I will be decorating it much nicer:
Hey anyone that still reads this blog. Haven’t update in such a long time. I use to be such a internet/blog fanatic but I think that was before I had work! Now all the free time I have is spent off the computer and with my lovely fiance and dogs. Oh did I just say fiance? I’m recently engaged! I’ll just add some random photos of the recent happenings in my life because can’t be assed to write it, here’s a short summary:
1. Recently rennovated the living room
2. We got a labrador! She’s all grown up now, her name is Angel. I dont’ think I’ve mentioned her before or posted pictures? She and Pepper are best friends
3. Dyed my hair! Lol its actually a different colour now but I haven’t taken a recent picture yet.
4. Got engaged 
I reckon a fan of Tiger Woods should make a youtube video entitled “leave tiger woods alone” like Chris Crocker did with his “leave britney alone” youtube video. Poor Tiger Woods has gotten himself into quite a very very messy hole. The thing I don’t understand is why people are making such a huge deal over his cheating allegations? (cheating on his wife, not golf games). They are condemning him so much for his actions. It’s like the whole entertainment world is in total shock over what Tiger Woods has allegedly done.
Now come on, a husband cheating on his wife? Wow.. that’s like impossible.. and a CELEBRITY as well! o m g. Tiger Woods having an argument with his wife? In shock here! Husbands and wife never argue, right?
So Tiger Woods had a huge fight with his wife and cheated on her. It’s not like he killed someone. Husbands and wives cheat all the time. Monogamy is not very common, especially in the ‘celebrity’ world. I’m not saying cheating is a right thing to do but why is everyone around the world so obsessed with the whole controversy of Tiger Woods? He made a mistake (several?), he’s not God. He’s allowed to make mistakes. As he said so himself.
Have we become so obsessed with the downfalls of celebrities that we forget our own mistakes? It’s hypocrisy. Most of the people who are condemning Tiger Woods for his behaviour have probably done the same thing he has. Let’s forget for a second that he is a celebrity, would anyone care then whether or not he cheated on his wife? probably not. Leave the poor guy alone to sort out his mess. No one comes bursting into your house with a microphone pointed to your face when you make a mistake. The beauty of being humans is that we make mistakes and learn from them through our own personal battles.
During lunch at work I like surfing various news websites from serious headline news to pure trash (i.e. celebrity gossip, gotta love reading thoses ‘real’ rumors) but today I came across this:

Me thinks someone needs to drink more coffee. Seriously, I know that newspapers have to dumb down the language so that everyday average people can understand it but dumbing it down the the point it doesn’t even sound coherent? I don’t know about you but this actually seems more confusing to read, in comparison to writing the article in proper english. I was very tempted to contact the site and tell them about the typo.
I use to be able to tell the difference between newspaper because of the way articles were written depending on the audience they were aiming for. But these days it seems all news articles seem to be written for dummies. I suppose it’s because you can get news online so easy now that newspapers are trying to be more accessible to a wider audience. However I think there’s still some people out there who would like to read proper journalism.
That article above was actually on the front home page, because it’s such hard hitting news!
